Have you ever felt like Nelson Mandela, who spent 27 years in prison, only to emerge stronger and wiser? He once said, "I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it." In those darkest moments when everything feels impossible, remember that each step forward is a victory. You are capable of finding your way out.

Shift your perspective for a moment. Imagine you are in a garden after a storm. The plants may look damaged, and the soil feels heavy with rain. But as time passes, new growth emerges, and life begins to thrive again. Your pain, just like those storms, will pass, leaving you stronger than before.

A practical truth I’ve come to understand is that healing doesn’t mean everything goes back to how it was; instead, it means finding a way forward even when the path ahead looks unfamiliar. Just as Harriet Tubman led slaves to freedom through the Underground Railroad, she showed us that each step towards our freedom, no matter how small, brings us closer to where we need to be.

Encouragingly, every time you wake up and face another day, it’s a fresh start. You have within you the strength to heal, to grow, and to find beauty in what once seemed unbreakable. Keep moving forward, step by step, knowing that your story is still being written. Each moment is an opportunity to turn a page towards healing and growth.
