Seeking Wisdom from Above

I still remember that Sunday morning when the worship team sang those powerful words: "You're my hope, my guiding light." As I lifted my eyes to heaven, tears streaming down my face, I felt an overwhelming sense of God's presence. It was as if He was whispering directly into my soul, reminding me of His unwavering guidance and wisdom.

In my book, Whispers Beneath the Baobab, I share stories of how I've sought wisdom from above throughout my life journey. There have been seasons of uncertainty, when doubts crept in like thieves stealing our joy. But as I learned to seek God's wisdom, those moments became opportunities for growth and trust.

When I was writing Whispers Beneath the Baobab, I realized that seeking wisdom from above isn't just about getting answers; it's about cultivating a deeper relationship with God. It's about surrendering our will and allowing His guidance to shape our decisions. And let me tell you, it's not always easy! There are times when we must let go of what feels comfortable or familiar, even if it means stepping into the unknown.

But here's the thing: when we seek wisdom from above, we're not just getting God's guidance; we're experiencing His presence. We're reminded that He is our hope, our guiding light in the midst of life's chaos. And as I've learned to seek Him more intentionally, I've discovered that His wisdom is always available, even when my own understanding feels limited.

So what does seeking wisdom from above look like in practice? For me, it means setting aside time each day to listen to God's whispers, even if it's just a few minutes of quiet contemplation. It means asking for guidance and clarity as I navigate life's decisions. And it means trusting that God's wisdom is always better than my own.

As you read this, I want to encourage you to seek wisdom from above today. Ask God to guide you through the challenges and uncertainties you're facing. And trust that His presence will be your hope, your guiding light, no matter what comes your way.
